BH has launched its new high-end road bicycle in the Asian market to great success
at China Cycle 2011, a leading bicycle and motor trade show held in Shanghai, China,
from May 4 to 7.
Weighing as little as 4.8kg, with a 747g frame (M size), the BH Ultralight was one of
the stars at the 21st China International Bicycle & Motor Fair. BH was the only Spainbased
bike manufacturer among the more than 1,000 companies from all around the
globe which attended the event.
China Cycle 2011 welcomed over 70,000 trade visitors, many of whom came to see
BH’s new model and learn about international distribution channels. “We met the representatives
of more than 800 China-based bike stores, talked to many international
distributors, mainly from South America, and made interesting contacts in new
markets,” said BH Export Manager José Miguel Aracama.
Stronger presence in China
BH sells high-end road and mountain bikes in China. In 2010, the bike manufacturer
opened new branches and established a logistic warehouse in Shanghai (BH BIKES
CHINA) to meet the growing demand from local customers. At present, BH has five
dealers in China, for Beijing and the northeast, Shanghai and the central-east, Hong
Kong, the south, and the central region.
BH has made a strong bet on the Asian market. Proof of this is that it was the only
Spanish maker at the Taipei International Cycle Show, where the E-Motion NEO
range and the high-end road and mountain bike models G5 and Ultimate were highly
acclaimed by visitors.
BH has been growing steadily in China. “Our goals at the trade show were successfully
achieved, and we were able to check our 50% growth in sales in the Chinese
market,” Mr Aracama remarked. |
